Powered by a mixture of Drupal and good old fashioned Flash, the AlltelRacing site turned from a quick-stop of Ryan Newman, to a dynamic and constantly updated hub of racing information and insights into the sport.
Campbell-Ewald updated the site from its previous iteration in 2006 and continuously updated it through the end of Team Alltel. Key sections were rebuilt to update according to race schedules (dynamic mastheads and Race Track Secrets. We also constantly re-examined ways of making Ryan more personable and the team more approachable).
Besides the standard good times of concept and design, I also handled photo and video shoots and editing.
A couple of the groundbreaking things we did were to build and stage a live webchat that users could send questions in from the website, as well as a dynamic multi-angle pit crew scenario. This allowed users to see the pit-crew in action and select team members from the feed to see more information.
