At one time, Alltel needed an easy, visual way to represent the difference it offered to consumers, namely choice and control. Through the My Circle wireless plan, they initially had done this through use of the competitor's spokespeople - but they needed to replace the campaign. The Sales Guys, lowely mall employees replaced them.

In time, they became as recognizable as the Alltel spokesperson - Chad, and we began the process of defining their own home.

Alltel used this opportunity to create a fully-immersive site (and a full soundstage equipped set) that would live off of video, dynamically updated content, and user participation.

We quickly put together a plan that would use their basement to house various interactive components and what ended up being nearly 60 videos (this doesn't count other hotspots, we're talking just video). Since we adhered closely to a set, we plotted tracking, positioning of elements, and how the user would interact and fly through the space.

We partnered with Struck Creative (the people who created the ShaveEverywhere site), to flesh out the world, its inhabitants and how the user would interact with it.

Because this was intended to be a longer-term site, plans were enacted to create an updatable experience, as well as showcasing to users that there was more to see: through easter eggs, a user-fed global whiteboard and rulebook, spywall (of Alltel paraphanaelia) and a dynamic inventory system modeled after the magic card roleplaying game the characters play: Dungeon Masters Eternal Quest - going so far as to create a mock web-experience for it.

(in addition, I actually created a fully-functional card game - that would live in the world, and tied all the various commercial, interactive and other brand references together).
