Final Direction - Ironically around the time Cingular was folded into AT&T

Alltel wanted to branch an existing platform into a youth/teen destination. They hired a prominent graffitti artist: Mr. Totem, to create a logo. The goal was a less-branded site that would eventually have lifestyle and dynamic content with a unique voice frm the parent Alltel brand.

This was really a fun projet to work on because of the complete and wide-ranging freedom we were given in tonality. Internally, there was a running joke to see how complicated we could end up making the final design for engineering to build. We have a wonderful engineering department, so I have no doubt they'd have schooled us, regardless.

Based off of Totem's logo explorations, I developed a wide range of designs that really pushed what a single wireframe can influence. Each iteration would be focus group tested, and from there put into production.

Ultimately, the project was never completed. Even still, the final direction was predominantely blue and orange - right around the time AT&T folded Cingular into the brand - so the colors would have had to change anyways.

The lifestyle effort was refocused as the Sales Guys and Chad became more and more popular - eventually leading to the ManCave. So I can't complain.
